Thursday, January 30th AND February 6th
$30 per person
Long time crocheter and teacher, Romy Klessen, will teach this two-part class to help you understand the basics of crochet. The first session will be an intro and give you a taste into starter crochet skills, including how to work effectively with only two basic stitches, chains and single-crochet, plus tips for sizes, measuring, and maintaining your gauge. Romy will also have some other easy projects on display to give you inspiration.
You can then go home and practice for a week and return for part two. We’ll get a good start on your crocheted "soap-on-a-rope" bag, and you’ll have simple instructions for finishing it at home. After these two classes, you can build on your new-found crocheting knowledge and skills and use these same stitches and pattern (only larger) to make shopping bags, or even a snood for long hair or to go over bun, with a chopstick stuck thru as they used to do in ‘70s! The possibilities are endless!
Crafty class fee is $30 plus tax, and all supplies are included. Pre-registration is required and refunds are not given for cancellations with less than 72 hours notice prior to class start. Feel free to bring your own drink to class to make it more fun…wink, wink!
Please note that most of our crafty classes require a minimum of 4 participants. If our minimum is not met 72 hours before the workshop you will be notified of the class being cancelled and get a full refund. Pre-registration for classes is necessary to allow for correct supplies to be available, but you are welcome to call or email us the day of to see if there have been cancellations or extra spots.
